Marketing/Sales Manager Position Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
Existing Customer Accounts
Maintain existing customer account.
o Direct customer communications, as needed/required
o Liaison for technical inquiries from customer
o Represent MWSI to customer in instances of field or quality concerns
Design and implement pricing strategies for RFQs and customer portfolios
Provide sales forecast on current book of business.
Support P and L for product lines and associated activity
o Direct accountability for LTA, price reductions, price rejuvenation, in accordance with Company procedures and
organizational approval(s)
o Support organizational activities for VA/VE, inventory control, payment terms and premium.
Act as liaison between customer and various MWSI functions (Estimating group, Manufacturing Engineering, Finance, Operations, Product Engineering) with day:to:day requests.
Ensure overall customer satisfaction.
Work collaboratively within MWSI to support Customers Purchasing and Engineering Groups.
Process RFQs following established procedures including gathering the information necessary to allow the Manufacturing Engineering and Estimating group to provide costing data
Interface with MWSI and Customer engineering teams to insure all prints, specifications, supply sources and documentation needed to process RFQs are obtained in time to meet quote deadlines.
Analyze all quote inputs and develop quotation.
Support new (New Product/ECN) part launches, monitor SOP dates and assist with resolving issues to a timely launch. Work with customers to obtain purchase orders. Serve as new product escalation point of contact and coordinate authorized material/tooling purchases to meet key customer milestones.
Support timely collections of accounts receivable
o When escalated by collections group
o When resolution requires commercial negotiation
Process paperwork for new customers and locations such as credit applications, terms and conditions, logistics and supplier surveys.
Research price discrepancies for assigned customers.
Appropriately handle issues individually or with a small group and raise issues as necessary to managements attention.
Lead coordination of internal activities to support customer projects. i.e. product development, program management, operations management, customer support.
Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Director.
New business development
Lead and support development of business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company
sales goals and profitability.
o Perform market research, competitor analysis and customer surveys, gather customer requirements, etc.
o Initiate and coordinate development of action plans
o Develop business case and/or white paper with cross functional team support
o Deliver RFQ response
o Negotiate terms, in accordance with Company procedures and with proper organizational approval(s)
Desired Skills and Experience
3 to 10 years of industry experience
Technical commercial experience with Agricultural and Heavy Duty Commercial vehicles
:An exemplary communicator with customers, executives, peers, and subordinates, commanding respect and creating lasting impressions.
:Excellent presentation skills required.
:Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, multi:tasking and interpersonal skills are necessary.
:Must have the ability and independent judgment to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload while interfacing with people at all levels
:Strategic out:of:the box thinking, problem:solving, negotiation and decision:making skills.
:Strong financial/costing education and/or experience and associated business acumen
:Technical aptitude
:Dynamic builder of relationships with customers
:Not required but desired, knowledge of wire harness d
