What are the requirements?
Must be at least 21 years old
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language
Must have a valid commercial drivers license (CDL) Class A, with doubles endorsement (or willing to obtain prior to start)
Must be a United States citizen or have proof of valid employment authorization from United States government
At least one year verifiable driving experience in a tractor-trailer, 6 months driving experience from an approved school, or graduated from an approved school in the last three years
In-depth background check by FedEx Ground
Current USDOT physical card
Clean Drug and Alcohol history
No DWI, DUI, reckless driving in last 10 years
No felony convictions
No more than one moving violation in the last 3 years
No more than one preventable accident in the last 3 years

Some questions answered:
1) Can I run solo or will I work with a Co-Driver?
As FedEx contractors, the majority of our runs are as a team. Therefore, our drivers predominantly run as a team.
2) Do I need to be part of a team and join as a team with your company?
You can join our organization as an individual driver and we will place you with a compatible Co-Driver. Therefore, you do not need to have a Co-Driver upon being hired.
3) Do you have benefits?
Major Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance are offered after your 60 day probationary period. Supplemental Insurance/AFLAC-is available. Company paid Life Insurance for the employee only is available after your 60 day probationary period.
4) Does your company give time off for holidays?
Holiday pay is available immediately, as long as the employee has worked their scheduled run the day before and the day after the celebrated holiday.
These holidays are Memorial day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas
5)How often do you pay employees?
Employees are paid weekly-every Friday. Your first pay will follow after your first 2 weeks of driving. Direct Deposits are mandatory.
6) What does the work schedule look like for a driver?
Our drivers are generally out on the road for five days and home two; however, the drivers are not necessarily home on the weekends.
7) What is the company dress code for truck drivers?
Employees are required to wear the FedEx Uniform and are provided a $100 allowance towards the purchase of these uniforms.
8) When is an employee eligible for vacation?
An employee is eligible for six days paid vacation after working one year continuously, which is equal to approximately 1,664 hours (32 hours/week).
