Job Description Primary Objective: Provides desktop application, hardware, printer and network support for all users, including local users in Warren, as well as users at remote locations. Works closely with the users on a day-to-day basis, resolving all issues and problems in a timely manner. Major Functions and Scope: Provides Help Desk technical support for local and remote users. Troubleshoots networking and software configuration for remote users. Provides telephone and/or desk side support for software applications. Differentiates between hardware and software issues, provides effective solutions to problems. Understands the processes of Task Manager. Installs, configures and troubleshoots PC peripheral devices. Trains end users on use of equipment and software application functionality. Assists new users with network login. Supports Internet browsers and assists users in accessing desired sites. Researches problems and determines resolutions, and applies those resolutions. Provides emergency Help Desk coverage on short notice - carries a cell phone and is expected to respond to off-hour requests. Performs other related duties and/or special projects as required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Occasional local/interstate travel. Requirements: · Associates degree required, in an IT related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred. · 1-5 years of previous IT work experience, including supporting users. · Experience with Windows 7/10, A+, SQL, Network+ or MS certification, crystal reports. · Understanding of Local Area Networks (LAN) and the relationship to desktop software applications. · Experience installing and configuring desktop software, including MS Office, or comparable software packages and peripherals running in a networked environment. · Excellent customer services skills. Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. · Ability to work independently or under minimal supervision, but possess the ability to know when to request assistance. · Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure while performing standard Help Desk procedures. · Professional work ethic. Positive attitude. · Valid driver’s license. · Ability to pass a background screen and drug test. Other Desired Skills: · Windows Server · AD, DHCP and DNS · ERP experience (Preferably Sage 500) Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, drive a vehicle and lift up to 50 pounds.
